Alison Wonderland is one of Australia’s most popular electronic dance music producers. The artist from Sydney received several ARIA nominations and also won the “Breakout Artist” award at the Billboard Dance Awards in 2018. Doors to the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium opened at 7 p.m. and fans were thrilled to see one of the best EDM DJs/producers. In June, Alison’s Wonderland Bay Area tour stop was scheduled to take place in June at the Greek Theater in Berkeley, around the same time she released her single, “Still“, but she had to postpone for health reasons. When those auditorium doors opened, fans knew they were in for a tough time.
The opening acts were rising Portland-based Future Bass producer Quiet Bison and local artist and rising star Mr. Carmack, who actually grew up several blocks from Bill Graham. Both producers put on performances that thrilled the crowd and showed that they could become household names in the electronic music industry in the near future. After their sets ended, there was a 15-minute change that anticipated Alison Wonderland’s arrival on stage. When she arrived though, the bass was booming and the crowd was roaring, which are signs this show was going to be fantastic.
A performance filled with wonderful rhythms
Alison Wonderland electrified the crowd with her mixes of old and new bangers that made her one of EDM’s most popular DJ/producers. One of the things fans were looking forward to from the artist was his equally stunning voice. Alison Wonderland’s singing voice is another example of her wide range of musical skills that she continues to enrich each year in her great career.
Even with the delays the COVID-19 pandemic has brought to the music industry, the Sydney artist showed the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium crowd that she hadn’t missed a step in her music production . 2023 will be another year where Alison Wonderland still travels the world performing for her adoring fans, especially EDC Mexico and Lollapalooza festivals in Chile, Argentina and Brazil.
