Fuga Hires Gareth Mellor of Tunecore as Global Head of B2B Marketing | Digital

FUGA has hired Gareth Mellor from Tunecore in the newly created role of Global B2B Marketing Manager.

Connie Chow has also joined the B2B music distributor as Marketing Strategy Manager for Dance / Electronics, while Greg Vegas has been appointed Director of Customer Relations, Americas.

London-based Gareth Mellor will oversee the development of Fuga’s corporate brand, while Craig May continues to lead the artists’ streaming and marketing initiatives. Working closely with the company’s sales and product teams, Mellor also takes responsibility for defining and executing the overall marketing strategy for Fuga’s products.

With over 10 years of technology and music marketing experience, Mellor joins Fuga from his previous role as UK, Australia and New Zealand Manager at TuneCore. There, he oversaw the company’s UK launch, as well as partnerships with Black Lives in Music, The Prince’s Trust and Point Blank Music School, and DIY Magazine and Bandsintown. He has also held the positions of UK and EU Marketing Director at Kobalt Music Group, and Strategic Marketing Director at AWAL.

Prior to Mellor’s appointment, Connie Chow and Greg Vegas both joined the company earlier this year. Based in Los Angeles, Chow’s position as Head of Marketing Strategy for Dance / Electronics saw her take on the responsibility of defining and implementing tailored strategies for the vast list of dance clients and of electronic music by Fuga. Her previous role was as vice president of artist management firm Little Empire Music, where she led the careers of actors such as Galantis and Santigold.

As Director of Customer Relations, Americas, Vegas is responsible for customer engagement, development and business intelligence. He is based in New York City and has over 20 years of experience in the distribution, marketing and management of artists and labels. He was previously the Director of Label Management at The Orchard and also worked for extended periods at PIAS America, V2 Cooperative Music and the Alternative Distribution Alliance. .
