The man, the myth, the legend Hayden James has released a single ‘Lifted’ from his highly anticipated 2nd album. On top of that, a massive North American tour will kick in during the spring and summer. The album is set to be released on April 8 on electronic music label Future Classic.
The solo artist aimed to create upbeat and feel-good tracks that would help fans put the pandemic behind them and bring them back to good times. The single absolutely exudes that feeling, setting a precedent that the album, which will feature 8 more tracks, will develop that kind of warm vibe.
On “Hold Tight”, Hayden adds: “It’s a big summer piano house record that took a while to perfect, but when it was done I knew it would fit the mood of the album perfectly. I also really like the feel of the song, which is about two people who drift apart at times but come back to realize what’s important. I like people finding the songs for themselves, I don’t like to say “that’s what ‘it’s about specifically’, because there’s so many different meanings that people take away, so many different lessons from different songs. But this one, it’s like such a strong call to hold on and go back to what you love doing or that person you love and hold on.
Hayden James has been around the block when it comes to hits, he has collaborated with Icona Pop, Boy Matthews, Gorgon City, Nat Dunn, GRAACE and Crooked Colors and many other well known names. On stage, he has performed at Webster Hall in New York, Fonda Theater in LA, Paradiso in Amsterdam and several other international spots.
