86 fans can experience the ending theme of their beloved show in a whole new way, thanks to Haywyre.
The latest entry in Sony Music’s popular anime and video game remix destination, Sakura Chill Beats, is a redesign of SawanoHiroyuki[nZk]: Mizuki’s song “Avid” from Grammy-nominated electronic music producer. Haywyre’s new remix was created in honor of the show’s recent second season release on Netflix.
A drastic departure from SawanoHiroyuki[nZk]: mizuki’s original track, Haywyre’s interpretation transforms the dramatic arrangement into a funky and upbeat bop. It takes the essence of the original and turns the vocals on a dazzling, neon-drenched journey, guided by wandering keys and an addicting bassline.
While there’s significantly less emphasis on vocals, they’re used in a clever way that will keep them stuck in your head, even if they’re not as important to the rework. While very different from the emotional ending theme, Haywyre’s take is a new change of pace that fans of the original and new listeners alike can appreciate.
