Lethbridge Electronic Music Festival drops the beat this weekend

Southern Alberta’s largest electronic music festival enters ninth year
The 9th annual Lethbridge Electronic Music Festival (LEMF), hosted by the electronic music production company and their partners Unified Vibe and London Road Marketing, will take place on Saturday at Galt Gardens Park.
The free event starts at 11 a.m. and ends at 11:30 p.m.
From its small stage debut in 2012, the festival has grown into a summer event that drew nearly 5,000 people in 2019.
The full-day event will feature two stages and 24 acts covering a multitude of electronic music genres.
“Our goal at LEMF is to provide a free, non-profit event that gives families and those who do not usually attend electronic events the opportunity to check out the scene,” said David Fritz, current president of the LEMF. LEMF organizing committee. in a press release. “We take great pride in being family friendly and having an age range from children to seniors who come together to share the love of music.”
The festival features an all-Canadian lineup this year with headlining Skratch Bastid (Toronto), The Gaff (Saskatoon), Woofax (Calgary) and Rumpus (Regina).
The lineup also includes 12 local artists and eight out of town, featuring artists who are veterans of the Western Canadian festival scene.
LEMF gives DJs the chance to perform for family, friends and the community, rather than just at a nightclub or at over 18 festivals.
LEMF will also feature 18 artisan vendors, four food trucks, beer gardens, a kids’ area with air jumps, free face painting, dancers and live graffiti.
