Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan Joins Cameo to Help Animal Rescue

Smashing Pumpkins group leader Billy Corgan has joined Cameo, the video-sharing app where fans can pay a fee for a participating celebrity to send a personalized video message to themselves or others.

He’s not the first rocker to hail Cameo – Megadeth’s Dave Mustaine, among other rock stars, is making them available to fans as well. But Corgan’s Cameo pledge is for charity and for a limited time only. Proceeds will go to PAWS Chicago, Corgan’s favorite non-profit animal shelter.

Corgan’s Cameo page says, “With supply chains in disarray, Santa needed a little help this year getting you special gifts. So he reached out to Billy and [his partner] Chloe, and they got an idea for 100 special fans! “

He continues, “For a limited time only, you can surprise someone you love (naughty or nice) with a gift they’ll never forget: a personalized video message from Billy and Chloe! For every cameo you buy, you will also receive a mystery one of the gifts can be something special courtesy of Reverend Guitars. “

Corgan’s cameos range from $ 300 for a personal use video greeting to $ 4,500 for business use purchases. As of this writing, there are only 63 Corgan cameos left to purchase.

The musician says PAWS Chicago is “dedicated to saving our animal friends, providing animal shelters without killing and giving a voice to the voiceless.”

Last year the Pumpkins released the album Cyr. He followed the years 2018 Brilliant and oh so bright and 2014 Monuments to an elegy. The group currently includes Corgan with classic Pumpkins members Jimmy Chamberlin and Jimmy Iha, as well as Jeff Schroeder.
