The Weeknd announces ‘Dawn FM’ release date

In a trailer posted on his social networks, The weekend just gave fans a consolidated release date for his new album ‘Dawn FM’, which will be available for streaming on all platforms this Friday, January 7, 2022. ‘Dawn FM’ to be artist’s fifth studio album, following 2020 release ‘After hours’ who broke international records with the hit song “Blinding lights” who was recently named as # 1 of Billboard’s 100 Best Songs of All Time.

A new sound universe from the spirit of The Weeknd “ flashes on the screen at the start of a trailer that looks like a Scorsese movie, as The Weeknd is escorted by faceless characters. The camera shifts to a church-like shrine where we then see an older Weeknd and a current-looking Weeknd locking themselves into the eyes with some sort of siren as a voice calls out “You are now listening to 103.5 Dawn FM. You have been in the dark for too long. It is time to walk in the light and accept your destiny with open arms ” then quickly skips to an excerpt from a song that will be released soon.

As if the trailer weren’t enough to keep us on the edge of our seats, the artists that will be featured on ‘Dawn FM’ include Tyler, Creator, Jim Carrey, Quincy Jones, Lil Wayne, and producer Oneohtrix Point Never.
